Climate Change Wave/ March in London. 05/12/09

The Climate Change Wave in London 05/12/09
Apparently 50000 people marched and waved, so a fantastic turn out! amazing atmosphere, even though we missed the starting rally due to traffic, and the actual Wave at the end due to such a massive amount of people. I read that Gordon Brown invited 25 supporters (maybe I got the numbers wrong) back to 10 Downing Street after the Wave to hear their demands.. so it was well worth it!
These are just a snippet (my favourites) of the 300+ photographs I took. Quality demonstration!

Adam Hills

Saw Adam Hills on sunday with danny at the Wedge...
I think it was the most fun I've had at a comedy gig ever.. and that's saying a lot!

He's largely inoffensive, which is quite a nice change in this medium of performance :)
He tweeted, discussed phobias, the paralympics and what he wants to teach his kids, properly interacted with the audience, did a Michael McIntyre walk, plugged a band called KUNK- who are actually sound as, check out http://www.myspace.com/kunk
and introduced a sidekick, a guy called Tom from a Hills gig in Reading who was pretty funny!
I think there's chemistry there:

It was a bit bizarre (but not surreal!) He was given 12 free Pizza's courtesy of Domino's, as a lady called claire who works there saw his blog posting of a gig in Andover (wheron he bought Pizza for himself and the audience as he hadn't had any tea) so we were all well fed :)

He's such an endearing chap and I'm so glad I got to see him, as I watch Spicks and Specks online, and I've seen quite a lot of his standup online (I have a "go you big red fire engine" tshirt!) but had never got it together to see him live before.

One of my favourite jokes:
"There was an inflatable boy who went to an inflatable school, and all the teachers and pupils were inflatable.. The boy got told off for bringing a pin into the school. The headmaster said "You've let me down, you've let yourself down, and you've let the whole school down"" :D

Here's me and Adam... I dont think he knew what to make of the hat :D

He dedicated the tour to friends that died, friends that when he saw them, made him inflate.
Thankyou Adam, you inflated me massively!

Reclaim The Night march in Portsmouth

This was a really good event last night, largely a feminist thing, protesting about safe streets at night, anti rape, anit domestic violence towards women..
It would have been better for my project if the fucking Auto Focus on my camera hadn't decided to DIE :'( and shooting manually with a flash gun in a moving march, without a tripod is quite taxing. Not overly happy with the images I took but I managed to salvage a couple (thanks, free photoshop) but yeah. here they are..Today is wank.. Hopefully tonight will be sweet.. and if all else fails I'm seeing Adam Hills on sunday so that'll make things good! ^_^
