The old railroad..
Every time I go home it always feels a bit like regressing, no internet and very few friends from home who actually live there.. means I spend nearly all my time with my grandparents, which to be honest, I love. My grandads a bit poorly at the moment which is slightly worrying, but the major concern for him is being teetotal for the time being (I told him to pretend he couldn't read the label condeming alcohol consumption on his medication, but he's clearly more sensible than me) This means my favourite passtime with him (drinking ale in various pubs) has been stolen away from us, resulting in me becoming a reet country lass for 2 weeks, helping him with the garden, growing vegetable stuff, chopping wood and long country walks..
These photographs are from those walks, primarily our church-dodging walk on Zombie Jesus day, down where the old railway used to be.
N.B the lib dems want to recover the railway in Ringwood, running a connection line to Bournemouth.. It's a nice idea but the chances of them getting through in this notorious two-horse race is next to nothing.. besides which, the state of the remaining railway tracks here would suggest it may be a bit late for that, the railways been dead for years, only a few tracks remain, more for local historians than fuck all else!

Stereophonics @ Wembley 11/03/10
So I FINALLY went to Wembley, and couldn't have seen a better band there!
Never seen Stereophonics before, but they've been one of my favourite bands since I was like, 12, so it's fair to say I'd have loved it even if it wasn't impressive.. but it was!
They rock SO much harder than their record label would have us believe (commercialisation anyone?) and it's just breath-taking! Genuinely brilliant, they played maybe one song I didn't know all the words to?! Nearly cried at Billy Davey's Daughter, and danced my tits off to Bartender and the Thief, as to SO many.. For anyone who hasn't yet heard Keep Calm Carry On (newest album) I believe it won't disappoint :)
Not many people at the front were dancing (I was about ten people back, standing, which is amazing to see but is still a fair distance when you're massively short!) this surprised me, I will never understand why all the seating people never stood up when KJ asked them to, but the general atmosphere was MASSIVE enthusiasm :) And much kudos has to go to Hip Parade, who supported, who where brilliant in their first wembley performance and who I strongly recommend! But yeah, these are my favourite photos from the night.
